You are more than welcome!
Glad to know that your biopsy resulted in benign finding, that is good news !
Please don't worry,I am sure you'll be just fine. This is a minor surgery...The nurses are kind and caring and will take very good care of you. You'll be given a medication before the procedure to help you relax and feel good.
Again I wish you all the best! :)
Thank you so much for the information. I am a little scared of the surgery. It is suppose to be benign, I have already had the Vacuum Assisted Core Biopsy and they told me it is benign. Thanks for the good wishes!!
Hi,
The excision of a Papilloma is the standard of care and the majority of these wart like growth on the lining of the duct are benign in nature. This is a relatively minor surgical procedure, done under general anesthesia that usually takes about an hour. The recovery time is fairly short and the scar is hardly visible .Usually patients can go home on the same or next day.I am sure the nurse will give you instructions concerning post operative care.
The excised specimen needs to be studied under the microscope to rule out the presence of cancer or precancerous cells.
Wishing you an uneventful surgery and prompt recovery.
