Femara and blood testing

by frustratedrg, Jan 10, 2009 04:17PM
Can Femara cause any changes in blood calcium and phosperous levels.  My blood work has always been in normal levels until I started Femara.  I see small changes in both of these areas and am wondering if Femara can be the cause?

Dear frustratedrg:  Femara has a less than 5% incidence of hypercalcemia (high calcium).  Calcium is inversely proportional to phosphorous such that, if one goes up, the other may go down.  Whether or not this is the situation in your case cannot be concluded via the internet.  Please ask your doctor to comment on your bloodwork and its significance in your case.
