Fibroadenoma Removal.

hi..i have fibroadnoma on my left breast.i wanted to ask that if i remove it than do i hve an chances of cancer?

Hi,
Fibroadenoma is a benign (non-cancerous) tumor most common in young women.  A fibroadenoma can be left alone with no treatment if it's sure that it is a fibroadenoma.  If there is any concern - a biopsy of the tumor is done, and only after the sample of tissue is examined under the microscope showing what type of cells are there, can the diagnosis be made for sure.Treatment of fibroadenoma may consist of surgical removal of the tumor if it causes too much pain or grows considerably . In some women a fibroadenoma will disappear after several years with no treatment.
