Fibroids

Ive had fibroids since i was 18.  I'm noticing one breast larger then the other plus it feels different. I have more in one then the other and its very painful.  Ive stopped my heavy caffeine intake but it still hurts. i had an ultrasounds done in two hospitals and they've told me its just  fibroid abdenomas.  i've spoke to my doc and she told me i will have a hard time getting a doc to do surgery.   is that true?

What is your age now?

Fibroadenomas are benign lesions and are usually manged conservatively, that is without surgical intervention.

You should try OTC pain relief medications, warm compressus, local application of an analgesic gel for a few days and see if that helps.

Fibroadenomas are operated on only if they are very large causing pressure effects.

They are known to regress spontaneously after menopause.

They usually tend to hurt more and are more in size due to the hormonal fluctuations seen with menstrual cycles, OCP or HRT use.
