Gas pain top of stomach had a TRAM FLAP in 2009

I had my surgery in 2009 Tram Flap but I notice recently that I'm having a lot of gas pain mainly at the top of my stomach. The top of my stomach actually extended outward and the bottom remain flat. What I do is use my surgery binder and it help to relief the gas and pain. What I'm wondering about is this normal it seem to be coming from me drinking carbonated water or soft drinks. This is something that just recently started happening like I mention before I had my surgery over 2 years ago. Should I be worry or concern about this or just stop drinking carbonated drinks a together.

I apologize for the delay in answering but I was hoping that someone else who had your type of surgery might answer. I can't see that your problem with gas would have anything to do with your 2009 surgery. Another thing is that I'm not quite sure how you could define the "bottom" of your stomach as the stomach lies across the upper abdomen rather than being something round with a top and bottom. I would suggest that you treat the gas problem perhaps with some over the counter preparation that deals with the overproduction of gas .... I would also cut way back on the carbonated beverages or any other foods that are known to produce gas. If you get no results you might consider seeing a Gastroenterologist for the problem... Regards ....
