Green/Brown Fluid From Nipple

Green/Brown Fluid From Nipple

I have found what looks to be a green/brown looking fluid from my right nipple. (The breast is not sore)

I am 44 years old, have no history of breast cancer in my family.
At this time I am taking Meloxicam, Effexor XR and Ranitidine.

Would the pills be causing this?

Dear Sindy, None of the above mentioned medications list nipple discharge as a side effect.  Spontaneous discharge from the nipple of one breast may indicate breast cancer but most discharges are from benign (non-cancerous) conditions and most cancers do not have a discharge.   I would, however, recommend seeing a physician to follow-up and evaluate this fluid, which they would do in the context of a physical exam, as well as, your personal and family history.
