HCG and tumor growth

I started taking HCG several weeks ago, and last week found a large lump on my breast.  I had a normal mammogram about 6 months ago.  Could this hormone have caused cancer?  Medical tests on the lump are pending.

This thread is a very old one and I would be surprised if you receive an answer from "SheriBerry" who has stopped posting since 2008.
I thought adding my comment so you won't be disappointed if you don't get a response.

I hate to tell you but I too was taking HCG back in November and also found a hard lump afterwards. It turned out to be breast cancer and I had to have serveral surgeries and am currently undergoing chemo and will follow up with radiation once my chemo is over. My cancer was hormone receptive, so the HCG made it grow, whether it was there beforehand I'll never know. I also have to have my ovaries removed due to the hormone receptive cancer.

I warn any woman taking HCG against doing so. I am kicking myself now. I hope yours turns out to be nothing. Please keep me posted. Have you had a biospsy?
