Hair loss after treatments & body aches

I had just read the questions and answer regarding hair loss after cancer treatment (I have not looked up body aches after treatment yet).  I appreciate the answer but feel that the answer was a hand off to another source (call your doctor).  I have already done this and had blood test and sent off to a dermatologist.  Which he ruled as early hair thinning. (The doctor not even bring up the point that I had put one of the earths strongest poisons in my body!)  My hair before was curly and thin but full.  Now it is very thin not full and is curly.  You can see my scalp through my hair.  I guess my point is I want a answer that may just not be available but if a doctor is reading this and has some suggestions that are truely answers I (and the other people that are like me) would benefit from.

My Cancer History:  Aug. 2008 to present: BRCA 2 breast cancer, double mastectomy (Sept 2008), 4 month chemo (ACT regimine- strongest avail. for breast cancer) (Nov.08-Feb 09), 7 wk radiation (Mar - April 09), Reconstruction surg.(May 09), & Hysterectomy (Dec.09).

Medication:  Advil often.  Hydrocodon or Oxycodon prn (due to recent surgery). Vit. D-3 6000 iu, food based calcium (calcium 1000 mg, Magnesium 500 mg, Vit D3 400 IU - all within pill), glucosamine 3000 mg w/MSM 3000 mg, Fish oil 2000mg, Dietary Supplement (Protein 2 g, Vit A 3046 IU, Iron 1.4 mg, & Orgain Microalgae 2g) & Hair, Skin & Nails supplement (MSM 1400 mg, Horsetail extract 500 mg, L-Cysteine HCI 200 mg, Choline bitartrate 100 mg, inositol 50 mg, & PABA (para-aminobenzoic acid) 50 mg.)

I take the vitamins/supplements about 1/2 the time

CoQ 10 200 mg & Liquid Carnitine 3000 iu I take but forget most of the time.

Diet is OK - I don't eat very much but when I do is healthy and intake of water is about 2 - 3 glasses a day. (I know this needs work)

What would you suggest that I can do different/better for the hair loss?  It seems from talking to other cancer survivors that the body aches are just something that I will just have to live with - is this true.

Thank you for any help and comfort you can give.

I don't believe there are any answers to your concerns. Most all types of Chemotherapy will cause hair loss but to a different degree in everyone. This is also true with hair re-growth after therapy. Unfortunately in some few cases full hair growth is never achieved after Chemo. It's much the same with the joint aches .... in time (and I mean a considerable length of time) the aches and pains may lessen to some degree. You are among many who have these lasting effects from the treatment for cancer.    Regards ...
