Given your background of breast cancer, I understand your concern about this, and I agree with you that further tests may be necessary.
But to give you an idea, these lumpsLumps in the breasts in the nipples are more commonly due to blockedBlocked tear duct glands on the areolar surface, or lacteals underneath the nipples. Sometimes, the montgomery glands can be infected causing a hard painfulPainful menstrual periods lump that would resolve in time, or would respond with antibiotic treatment.
Nevertheless, I believe it is about time you had your screening exams done such as mammograms and/or ultrasound of the breast, just to make sure this is nothing serious.
