Herceptin + rash

I had my 5th infusion of Herceptin alone on Thursday.  Friday evening my hairless head started itching uncontrolably and by Saturday morning it was covered with a red rash and my eyes are puffy, although that could be due to lack of sleep.  I had a rash on my back after the first Herceptin which was given along with cytoxan and taxotere.  Has anyone else had this type of reaction to the Herceptin?

Hi there.

These reactions may indeed be due to Herceptin and I believe that your doctor should be informed about this.  You may be given additional anti-allergy medications and steroids before or after the treatment with Herceptin.  Make sure also that the involved skin areas are moisturized, since dry cracking skin may promote further rash formation.

Since my 2nd Herceptin treatment I have broken out with a acne all over my face like a 13 year old. Has anyone else experienced this?

I just had my first TCH treatment and I got a huge acne outbreak. Sounds like you might be fair-skinned, too. (I'm a redhead.). My doc just told me it's really more of a rash - and allergic reaction. Sure feels like the horror of my youth. And it's itchy, too!
