Hyperbaric Chamber to heal dead tissue from radiation?

Hyperbaric Chamber to heal dead tissue from radiation?

Looks like going back to surgery is now an option where they will go and "rough up the tissue" so that it will hopefully stick. Other options we are looking at for my Mom is the hyper-baric chamber. Does anyone have any experience with this? Obviously the goal is to do anything and everything to avoid surgery. Would love any input you may have! Thank you!

I don't know any answer to your question.

I also had radiation and I had a pocket of fluid actually get sealed inside me and it hurt. It was removed luckily when I had my DIEP reconstruction. I had no issue with the healing after reconstruction and I was worried that I might because my radiated side was so hard, like concrete with a thin layer of skin over it.

Drainage amounts can get heavy with exercise. I learned that with all the drains I had during my phases of reconstruction. I had one drain for 6 weeks.

Honestly, if I was your Mother I'd go get a second or third opinion. Sometimes that's the right thing to do. God Bless you both.
