Hypoechoic lesion found + skin changes on nipple

I recently posted a question, concerning my second ultrasound results. I still did not receive them as of today, the doctor told me after he reviewed the new report and compered it to the first one, he will fax it over to me. Just a quick background: the first report said I had complex hypoechioc lesion in my right breast, follow up in 3 months. Now I had the second ultrasound and the area of concern has grown, but they told me there it is only asymmetric breast tissue.
Now I have spotted a small change in the skin of the areola. It looks like hemangioma ( I think that because my daughter had that when she was a baby and it looks just like that). It is about 3mm and bright red, looks like a strawberry. I also noticed an area next to it about half an inch from the hemangioma a white area, when you don't have pigmentation in your skin. This is all going on in the areola on that breast which they first found the hypoechoic lesion.
Is it a concern? Should I bring it to my docs attention?
Thank you!

Hi there.

These new breast and nipple changes that you have observed lately may indeed have a bearing regarding future actions on your breast lesions.  The complex hypoechoic lesions that has grown in size may warrant further work up and tests such as doing an excisional form of biopsy.  This would finally settle the issue regarding the nature of these lesions.

The hemangioma that you are describing may or may not be related to this lesion, but given the overall picture, I believe it is safer to be a little bit more aggressive in  pursuing the diagnosis rather than watchful waiting.  But then again, this should be discussed well with your doctors.

Regards and God bless.
