I am waiting for results...

I am 21 years old, and have a 15 month baby.  I had an annual gyno appointment, where my Doc found a lump in my right breast.  I had an ultrasound, and then they decided to do Core biopsy.  I dont take any kind of hormones/birthcontrol, and recently have lost a lot of weight.  The lump is painful.  I just need someone to tell me im worried for nothing! Help!

Dear drss888:  Without evaluation, it is impossible to speculate on what this might be.  The biopsy results will hopefully be back soon and this will hopefully answer the question.  Most breast cancer is not painful.

There is no way to tell you over the internet to worry or not to worry. I'm sure you will have the results of your biopsy in a few days. I will tell you that lumps associated with breast cancer are rarely painful. I'm afraid you will just have to wait for your results.   Take care ....
