I had a Biopsy done on Friday

Last week I started on Tuesday with a Mammogram and Ultrsasound, then the Biopsy on Friday. The Mammogram brusied me accross the top of my nipple and at the top of where my underarm starts.... the  biopsy I had done on Friday was in three places ...In my right breast and 2 lymph nodes under my arm...
I am wondering about swelling....I have pain and tightness in my upper tight chest area and neck now and also my right arm....I also have thoracic outlet and with my arm up for nearly a hour it caused numbness and mild pain on Friday but seemed better after lowering my arm......I guess I am most concerned with the swelling or tightness in my upper right chest and neck area..Could my other lymph nodes swell in this area if I had those two biopsied....Also the tightness or swelling feeling didn't start until Sunday after I took the dressing off.... and changed bra's....Should I be concerned?    I don't know for sure that I have breast cancer The Doctor's are assuming that I do and that it is in the lymph nodes already....I have a appointment with the Cancer board on Thrusday...But I am very concerned about this new feeling...Any help?

Hi,

There are a number of possibilities (hematoma, seroma, lymphedema, etc.), but since you just had surgery, this is something you should  discuss with your surgeon rather than over the Internet.

It would be best to call your surgeon's office as soon as it opens, tell them the symptoms you are experiencing, and ask them to advise you, or if the symptoms are very pronounced, bring you in for an examination.
