I had a breast infection and my lymph nodes are swollen

I'm 28 years old.  I am not pregnant and have no children.
3 weeks ago I woke up with pain under my right armpit and felt 2 small pea-size lumps - one under my right armpit and the other about an inch above my right nipple.  Later the same day I developed flu-like symptoms (which lasted a week) which my gp diagnosed me with probable swine flu.  During that week, my right breast became warm, itchy, painful and very swollen then returned to normal again about 4-5 days later (without antibiotics).  The following week of having the flu, I developed a chest infection which the gp prescribed antibiotics for 1 week with effect. One week on, I still feel extremely lethargic, I have multiple swollen lymph nodes in my neck, above my collarbone and groin (both sides) and still the 2 small pea-sized lumps that I originally felt.  I have no fever or any other symptoms other than extreme fatigue.  I went to my gp during the week and she has sent a referral to the breast clinic (non-urgent) as she isn't too concerned.  She didn't know why my breast became infected.  Is there any need for concern?  I would appreciate any comments.

Dear nickyj2003:  Without evaluation, it is impossible to speculate on what may have transpired with your breast and what symptoms are related to the illness you have had and what may need further evaluation.  As the 2 pea sized lumps appeared prior to the flu, it may be worth following general protocol which is that any new lump may require further evaluation.  As long as these lumps have not changed or gotten worse, it may be worth waiting until you have recovered from the flu to get the evaluation at the breast center.
