I have a 1.3 cmm cancerous lump - triple negative breast cancer

Surgery first or chemo is what my oncologist recommends.  the surgeon I first went to wanted to do chemo first.  I going for a 2nd opinion.  What's best?

Typically, a tumor of this size is removed first, by lumpectomy or mastectomy, then followed up with chemo.

With larger tumors,  chemo is sometimes administered first, to shrink a tumor to the size where it can be removed completely, and/or with better cosmetic results.

The second opinion should help you decide which approach is preferable in your particular case.
