I have pain under my right breast

For pass week I notice breast tenderness under my right breast.  It's only when I brushed up against it and then couple of times while driving had sharp quick pain. I don't feel any lump of no change in nipple color. I am 49 years old have family history of cervical cancer and colon cancer but not of breast. I don't think its that but wondering what it could be.

Hi,
First of all, breast pain is almost never associated with breast cancer. From what you are describing this could be a pulled muscle,or hormonal changes in the body. Some women, have breast tenderness called Mastalgia. It may come and go with monthly periods (cyclic) or may not follow any pattern.
Non cyclic pain is most common in women 30 to 50 years of age. It may occur in only one breast. It is often described as a sharp, stubbing pain that occurs in one area of a breast.
If you see that this discomfort persists, please make an appointment to see your doctor for a clinical breast exam.
If you never had a mammogram,I would advise you to have one done to make sure that all is fine.
Best wishes...
