I have to get a breast MRI and I am terrified

A few years ago I went for a mammogram. The called back and I had to get an ultrasound. They found something suspicious and dis a biopsy. It turned out fine. They told me I had very dense breasts. And that what they found was a fold?
I just went back for a mammogram. Same thing. I got a call back. The radiologist could not see what was going on so she did an ultrasound. What the are saying is they cannot see a lump ... just a area that looks like a fold? But they said to make sure that fold was not being caused by something which they cannot see, they want me to do an MRI.
I don's sleep for a week before a mammogram, I know it's silly ... but I really don't know how I will deal with waiting for the MRI. Is this just normal? An MRI seems quite scary to me. Sorry for going on, but I am so frightened and I have no one to talk to. Thanks, B
