I want to start using birth control pills but I have a fiber on the right side of my breast.

Hi,
I am 20 years old and when I was 18 years old the doctor found this small lump on my right breast. It's really small, I can't find it on my own. When the doctors check my breast and they find the lump it hurts. I got a sonogram done twice but it was just to monitor if there was any growth and there wasn't. The doctor just told me that it's just a fiber ball and that a lot of young girls get them. But that I should monitor it. I want to start taking birth control pills (ortho tri-cyclen lo) but I don't know if that will be a risk.

It would be best not to take any oral contraceptive pills and if you do so, you should first consult your breast specialist and OBG.
In any case, I think this is too young a age for you to be starting any OCP medications - do discuss all the side effects with your doctor and then decide about starting them.
Let us know what your doctor advises and if you have any more doubts.
