IN THE L.T BREAST - TINY FIBROADENOMA

Hi im 50 years old . in my scan report they were mentioned i have
IMPRESSSION :
TINY ECHOPOOR LESION 3.2 X 1.8MM IN THE L.T BREAST - TINY FIBROADENOMA.
BIRADS CATEGORY II / III LESIONS
is this cause any major problem .. pleace can u explain me about this and what treatment i have to take for this..

No, Fibroadenomas are not cancer and do not cause cancer. They are tumors that are sometimes said to be related to hormone levels in the body just like cysts. Simple cysts of course contain fluid where Fibroadenomas are solid.  Take care .....

Fibroadenomas are BENIGN breast tumors and cause no harm unless they grow in size and cause discomfort. They can be left alone but can also be removed. Often in women over the age of 40 some Physicians do advise their removal. Some women have several of these benign tumors and may also have cysts which are sacs that contain fluid. Both of these conditions are sometimes said to be related to the level of hormones in the body. There is no particular treatment for either condition but shorter than normal interval Mammograms may be advised to check on the growth of the tumor. Regards ....
