Invasive Mammary Carcinoma

by vin353, Feb 14, 2009 06:22AM
I just completed Breast Surgey (Masectomy) 2 weeks ago and I have been diagnosed with Invasive Mammary Carcinoma. In 2002 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease and received Chemo. and radiation, my oncologist is suggesting Chemo. at this time, and due to the surgey I may be requiredto wait for another 3 to 4 weeks before Chemo. is started. What can I do and how severe is this ?

I answered your previous post in which you gave very little information.I guess your case is much different than mine. From what I read in this posting is that you are having excellent care from your oncologist.Chemo is not an easy thing to go through, but it's so important to do it.Many women went through chemo therapy, have survived and are now feeling very well.I wish you all the best in your treatment.Good luck.
