Inverted Nipple

I've posted this question in your sister forum, but am wondering if anyone here has any ideas. I have a recently inverted nipple.  No pain, discharge, rash, lumps, family history, etc.  Does any body know what causes this to occur?

Hey Guys and Gals,

Have either one of you had swelling or redenss?  Please check with your doctor about doing some scans, if mamo and ultrasound don't show anything I would suggest doing a biopsy maybe, just to be safe.  What ever you two do, don't wait to long.  You can't be to careful.

I've had a nipple inverted for about 3 years. I did have a mammogram and ultrasound. I was told that every thing was okay. What causes an inverted nipple? Should I be concerned? Do you need surgery? Please can someone get back to me.

last week i recieve a bump not to far for my nipple. as days passed it got bigger, then one day it popped and it was bleeding. i was told to put procide on it. the next day it stop bleeding but i think since i did that its still there and still big. what do think i should do

I was always told that ANY change in the breast or nipple would be reason to be checked out.    Also, when my onc is dictating his notes after my checkups, he always comments on my nipples being everted.  Were it me, I would be getting it checked out.
