Is calcification growth normal

Back in 2006 my mammogram showed calcification in both breast, the Dr only chose to do a core biopsy on the left all results came back clear.  In 2007, my mammogram showed no changes, I did not have a monogram in 2008.  Now in 2009, the calcification in the right breast has doubled in size and a new area of calcification has appeared in the right breast.  I am scheduled for two-core biopsies on Nov 13.  Is it normal for calcifications to grow in size?  Also are there any certain questions I should as the Doctor on the 13.

Are you sure that the calcifications have doubled in size and not doubled in number?
I've had calcifications appear on a mammogram... with more appearing in almost the exact same spot, two years later. Both times, they've been biopsied and were found to be benign.
The only question that I had for my surgeon was: if more calcifications continue to appear in either breast, would they likely be of the same benign origin? And, he said that no responsible physician would ever make that assumption. So, it would appear that every time there is a change... in number and/or size, a biopsy would be the only sure way to know the nature of the growths.
