Is it OK to not have Radiation as a part of Adjuvant therapy?

Is it OK to not have Radiation as a part of Adjuvant therapy?

I recently had a breast conserving sentinel node biopsy. The tumor in my left breast turned out to be 5 by 4 cm and also 3 of the 5 sentinel nodes came back positive - accordingly the Dr had gone ahead with axillary node dissection.

In the final report - I believe none of the axillary armpit nodes were found positive - they came out clear.

Post surgery - I have been asked to get started with harmone therapy Arimidex (beinfg ER,PR +ve and informed that I will need to go in for chemotherapy. There has been no mention at this point of radiation being a part of the adjuvant therapy. My concern is is that OK? will the harmone and chemo suffice to address that there is no immediate and distance recurrences and metastasis?

Thanks in Advance for any clarifications/suggestions/advise.

with positive nodes the Chemo is the first order of business and also since the tumor was ER+ also the Arimidex. If clear margins were obtained in the tissue surrounding the tumor perhaps Radiation will not be a part of the regimen of treatment. In any event Chemo is always first unless some Radiation is recommended before surgery. Each case is different and the Oncologist formulates a treatment plan on an individual basis; taking into consideration all the final Pathology studies.  Good LUck with your treatment.    Regards ....
