Is it scar tissue??

Less than 2 months ago I had a benign breast biopsy.  The tissue removed was very small but the scar was pretty large, over two inches.  Just yesterday I felt a pretty large, very hard lump right under the scar.  I have an appointment to have the surgeon check this out.  It is kind of scary, but I am trying to calm myself knowing that it wasn't there before and it is right under the scar.  However, my mother did die of breast cancer so I'm not wanting to take any chances.  If the doctor tells me not to worry, it is scar tissue (please tell me he probably will) should I ask for any tests for proof or a second opinion?

I'm glad that your biopsy report returned with benign findings. After my surgical biopsy,
I also felt a distinctly hard lump or knot just beneath the incision. It was, in fact, scar tissue and after several months of gentle massaging with vitamin E oil, that stiffness went away. But, do have your doctor check it out during your follow up.
