Is this normal?????????

I was dx with DCIS in right breast and duct was remove with 2 masses at different times - total of three surgeries just on right breast alone along with 7 1/2 weeks of radiation, then also LCIS in left breast - lumpectomy - now on Tamoxifen for 5 yrs. Going through PM for Fibro (whole other story). But my question is, just recently the left breast has been like bubbling inside - I hold it and it feels like it's gurgling inside of my left breast. I also have been having a really bad, bad odor coming from the right breast. Last rad treatment was May 15, 2008. Some seroma still draining but not much. I really did not want to right this, but I found out being on this board - you get alot of support and sometimes things happen to other people and they can help you. So - if this has happened to anyone  - please let me know if I have anything to worry about. The left breast has been hurting alittle even as I am on Nicodin & Muscle Relax. meds for fibro. I am going for a biolateral breast MRI again 6/09. Thank you all for all your support since I have been here. God Bless, Sunshine

Thank you for your support, but I have discussed this with my surgeon. She stated that the seroma drainage is normal until the gaps are closed so that the seroma does not accumulate. Than she also was not concerned about the odor coming from the site. To me the odor is really bad. My first 2 breast surgeries were at one hospital - was not getting the care I deserved, then the last surgery was at another hospital. Both hospitals are very well known in Chicago. I just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else. I have considered having a mastectomy due to all the problems. My surgeon stated it's up to me, but do not know when do you get to that point. Thank you for your support. I appreciate this site so much - it has saved me. Thanks, Sunshine

If both breasts are giving you this much trouble and concern you should see either your Surgeon or Oncologist and discuss these problems with him/her in detail. I thought the drainage we spoke of on this forum earlier was a bit unusual and needed some attention by your Dr.s  Both problems you mention and especially this long after surgery and treatment are not common. If you haven't seen your Dr.s about this then please so do as soon as possible.    Regards ....
