Itchy, discharging nipple?

About two weeks ago my left breast began to get itchy and it has been causing me a lot of pain, there is also discharge coming out spontaneously- not with pressure of any sorts, it was a yellow almost color but now it's darker almost like blood, the nipple it's self is swollen and inverted, red and the skin is cracked, I have never had this before, I'm not pregnant, breastfeeding or going through the menopause like most of the websites state as the reason, I have no idea what it is or what's causing it I put eczema cream on but it did nothing, I stopped using the shower product in case that was the cause but No change.

Any ideas, much appreciated :)

Hi,
If the discharge looks like blood, is spontaneous and you also have an inverted swollen and painful nipple, it is concerning and you should see your doctor because most often it could be an inflammation or infected ducts in the breast, a benign tumor such as an Intraductal Papilloma or a cyst but sometime it could also be a sign of a serious underlying condition. So, please see your physician as soon as possible for a clinical examination. I would advise you not to apply any cream until you see your doctor okay?
Best wishes...
