Ki - 67 score is used to assess the prognosis in breast cancer cases, but is not used alone or as an absolute measure.
It uses a monclonal antibody to detect the KI - 67 antigen. A high score means that the lesion is malignant, has probably spread to the lymph nodes and also has a poor prognosis as compared to those with a low score.
You should discuss this further with your doctor as this needs to be interpreted keeping in view the symptoms, clinical examination, mammogram or ultrasound findings and the biopsy findings.
Hope this helps.
