Presently, the Ki-67 marker is not yet a standard procedure and the prognostic significance is still not definite. Though this portends to a possible poor prognosis and a more aggressive behavior of cancer, there is no targeted agent for this (in contrast with Herceptin for Her2neu) that has shown promise.
