Left breast swells, is tender, and rib cage hurts

I am a 38 year old female. I have been having issues with my left breast. The doctor found dense breast tissue in only my left breast. I have had a mammogram and an ultrasound which came out normal. I have also taken antibiotics for a week. The breast is about a cup size larger. I am not sure if the rib cage area that hurts is the cause of any of this. Where do I go from here?

I would suggest that either you consult a Breast Specialist and have him/her review your films (not just the reports) and possibly order additional testing appropriate for you symptoms OR investigate the issue concentrating on the possibility of some problem involving the ribs or muscle structure in that area. The additional testing concerning the breast itself might inclue Breast MRI which is very useful when the breast tissue is very dense.    Regards ....
