Left breast ultrasound

by Lorr673, Nov 10, 2009 07:04PM
Hello,Here is what the result of the ultrasound was.
In the left breast at approximately the 11 o'clock position there is a hypoechoic lobulated structure of 7 mm.This is no cyst.It is inhomogeneous. No definite mass is seen.Im referred for an MRI soon.
What does this all mean.My doctor is not much of an explainer of things so Im worried at this point. whats its all about.
Thank you very much.

It'simpossible to say except that "something" resembling a bunch of grapes and 7 mm (about 1/4 in) in size was found in the left breast. Breast MRI is a much more sensitive type of imagery and may well be more definite as to the nature of this finding. There really isn't much that your Dr. could explain since this was all the Radiologist could come up with.  Regards ....
