Low-dose CMF

Does anyone have any current information on the effectiveness of low-dose, weekly, CMF? It has ben suggested for my wife, and we are trying to do some research on this. Thanks.

CMF is a combination of three chemotherapy drugs: cyclophosphamide, methotrexate and 5-fluorouracil.  There are several different schedules on which these drugs may be given.  In the postoperative treatment of early breast cancer, the "classic" regimen includes 14 days of cyclophosphamide and intravenous methotrexate and 5-fluororuacil treatment given on day 1 and day 8 of each 28 day cycle.  Variations of this regimen, such as lower-dose weekly administration may be used in situations where the goal is to limit toxicity (side effects) from the chemotherapy.
