Lump Bruise freckles under left breast

by sarxuka, Sep 12, 2009 10:15AM
Well a few days ago i found that while sleeping at my friend's house i found small reddish purple bruises on my breasts and there are red or brownish freckles aroudn that area. and i also have weird lumps that were near my nipple for a long time and the weird thing is that i am in high school. so i'm wondering, should i be worried about the bruise, lump, and freckles? and can you give me some information on it?

Dear sarxuka:    Skin on the breasts is like skin anywhere else and is subject to a variety of normal and abnormal conditions, including bruising, freckling, pimples etc.  There are “bumps” around the areola on all women’s breasts and these little glands are normal.  If the breasts themselves feel lumpy, this is also common and may get worse prior to menstruation and better afterward.  If you have a new distinct lump, it should be evaluated by your doctor.  Breast Cancer is extremely rare in women in their teens.
