Lumpectomy/Breast Lump

Lumpectomy/Breast Lump

Hello, a year ago I found a lump.  Biopsy inicated focal florid hyperplasia.  The pathologist recommend full excision of lump. My doc said he got all of the lump when he biopsied it.  A few months later I felt like the lump was coming back. I informed doc and he said it was scar tissue.  The lump is still there and is MUCH bigger. I found new doctor and he agreed that lump needs to come out via lumpectomy, which will occur on the 23rd.  Could this still be focal florid hyperplasia? If the first doc got it all and in one year it has grown back and bigger than before, isnt that fast?  Could this be something worse?

Focal florid hyperplasia is a benign finding .... it does increase your risk of developing breast cancer by a slight amount. It will take either another biopsy or the path report on the lump when removed to know exactly the true nature of this new lump .... it could be something different OR a new growth of the same problem.  Regards ....
