Lumps/high monocytes

i've had lumps in my right breast for the past 6 mos.,along with elevated monocytes in my past 3 blood tests.Do the two have any relevancy as pertaining to possible breast cancer?My surgeon has recommended I wait for another few months before doing a biopsy.My lumps are clustered and have increased in number over the past 6 mos.

Dear louann59:  Without knowing more about these “lumps,” it is impossible for us to speculate on what these might be?  Are they present on examination? Mammogram? Ultrasound?  The next steps would depend upon the results of these tests.  Your surgeon should be able to shed some light on this for you.  Regarding elevated monocytes, it is unlikely that there would be any relationship between this finding and breast cancer.  There are many possible explanations for elevated monocytes.  Your doctor should be able to discuss this with you as it pertains to your situation.
