Hi,

It depends on how convinced you a re at what your doctor advises and what the reports say. A non surgical approach is generally followed in case of fibroadenomas, unless they are causing pressure symptoms or are painful.

It always helps to discuss all the available options with your doctor and then decide.

Regards.

I'm 23 and i had lumps in both breast i had 3 in the right and 1 in the left. Went to get them checked out by mam and ultrasound and all the doctors said that they were fibroadenomas. I was'nt 100 percent sure they were right so i went to see a breast surgeon he checked my breast and said that i should get the lumps removed. I had the surgery about a week ago and the results came out fibroaenomas which is a benign tumor and not cancer. He also said that this is very common between women in the age of 16 to early 20's but could happen at any age. If you feel lumps go get them checked out I had my lumps for about 6 yrs. And now that i got rid of them i feel so relieved. Since your young you might have what i did but get them checked out to make sure.
