Lymph Nodes under left armpit or end of breast?

I have been feeling light pain every now and then under my left armpit area ...started in oct of 2008, felt a lump under my armpit. Had many appts.. first ultrasound found 2 benign nodules...5 mths later, second ultrasound found about 5 ...tech said they were 5 lymphnodes very visible?? 2 years it has been this way, they haven't changed in size..but it is mind boggling? WHat could this be? Waiting on results from my second ultrasound. I am 28yrs old and have 4 children. I  am scared it could turn into something?

An ordinary lymph node wouldn't "turn into" anything. Often lymph nodes will become enlarged due to some infectious process somewhere in the body and they sometimes do not return to their normal size. I don't know what type of Dr. you are seeing but you might consider an appointment with a Breast Specialist just to put your mind at ease. Lymph nodes can be biopsied but I see no reason for it in this particular instance.  Regards ....
