MILD LAXATIVE?
My question is:   What is the name of the mild, safe laxative recommended for Chemotherapy patients?  It is something like Senna something and has an initial on the end of it,  and it can be bought non-prescription.  Thanks for your help!

Dear Seven7:  There are several mild laxatives that can be used by patients receiving chemotherapy.  Different physicians/patients may prefer different ones.  None of them require a prescription.  These include:  Senokot, Colace (stool softener), Milk of Magnesia, Metamucil (fiber supplement), to name a few.  You could also discuss with your pharmacist or health care providers which remedy might best address your situation.
