Hello,I have gynecomastiaGynecomastia for about 6-7 years and am 19 years old now. I recently discovered a single thread-like tissue beneath my right nipple(that pink area -aureola or something). It made me concerned it could be male breast cancer. As i said, the tissue feels like a thread wich connects the pink skin and the mass of gynecomastiaGynecomastia tissue i've always had. The threadlike tissue seems to have several small bumps on it(as if a thread has several knots on it). In the place where it connects with the skin i have a small bump(on the skin) but this bump i've had almost as long as i can remember having gyno. So please tell me could this be some sort of a gyne duct i havent noticed before or that has just recently grown or is there a risk it could be breast cancer (as i said i am 19 and have no known hisory of male or femaleCondoms Female condoms Female sexual dysfunction breast cancer). Please answer me because i'm getting a bit worried. Thanks!
ii dont know why i have gynecomastia, becuase when i last checked a year ago the doctor said my hormones were ok. i had the last examination of the breasts before this summer. i dont know if i havent noticed this tissue before. is it possible that due to gynecomastia some sort of a small duct has formed like women have for milk?
and one more thing, i am going to a plastic surgeon soon to have consultations for my gynecomastia operation, do you think a plastic surgeon is competent enough to tell me about the nature of this kind of tissue?
Hi,
Well yes the plastic surgeon will definitely be able to help you. Go ahead and discuss your doubts with him in detail. Also see if he thinks a mammogram is required or not. Also ask him about a USG. Goodluck.
With the medical history you give the most probable explanation is that what you have is one of the complications of gynecomastia, which include - infection/ nipple necrosis, etc; but it cannot be said for sure without a clinical evaluation. Is your gynecomastia due to altered hormonal status? Have you got it investigated before? The best option would be to get a clinical evaluation by a physician and also go ahead with a mammogram if he thinks it is necessary. This is just to rule out a malignant lesion or any underlying lesion whatsoever.

That's an ultrasound of the breast tissue. Goodluck.
