Male w/ multiple bilateral neoplasms

I'm 64 years old and in very good general health. I recently saw my GP about lumps (he called them neoplasms), and he made an appointment with a surgeon to evaluate me.  Can't get in for 2 weeks, though, and I am anxious as hell.  I have 4-6 firm lumps on either side, 2-3 cm in diameter, and it feels as though some of the axillary lymph nodes on both sides are hard and/or swollen.  The lumps are mostly around the nipple, and a few of these have a very irregular feel.  Two of them are more like hard areas but these are more or less buried in the muscle mass of my chest.

I'm very anxious about this and would like to feel I may be going off the deep end over this.  Am I?

Dear Bengie,  Without benefit of further evaluation and physical examination we cannot speculate on what this might be.  A suspicious lump requires further evaluation, to determine what this is.  For your peace of mind you may want to check in with the surgeon's office - if they have a cancellation - perhaps they can see you sooner.

Until the doctor answers here  go to breastcancer.org then the discussion board. Scan down until you see the forum that says men with breast cancer. A really good starting point. I wish you well.
