MammoSite Radiation

MammoSite Radiation

Probably too late for asking this but I had 5 day MammoSite Radiation Treatment 2 years ago.  It entailed 2 treatments a day for 5 days.  The oncologist made is sound like this was the way to go for me but he did not tell me that before each treatment I had to have a CT Scan.  That was 10 CT scans in 5 days.  I am reading the latest news letter from my Health Insurance and there is an article about having too many CT scan. It says cancer from excess radiation usually takes from 10 to 20 years to develop. Is this something that I should be concerned about and is there anything I can do now?  I was 52 when I was given all of these scans.

I had external beam radiation and had more CT scans than I can count over an 8 week period. Not to mention daily x-rays!

This is something we all need to be concerned about. The devil is in the details. God bless us all.
