Mammogram redone

My mother gets a mammogram done every year.  She was called back in this time to get one of her breast re-done.  The said they wanted to get a better picture.  They do the new mammograms were they can see a picture of the mammogram before they take you off the plates.  However she got called back to re-do her mammograms.  She went today and she said that they did a lot more pictures than they usualy do.  Is this typical of getting a mammogram re-done?  Or do you think they are doing this because they suspect something is wrong.  She does not feel anything.  She went for a pap test recently and they did not feel anything when they did a breast exam.  What should we expect?  How long will it be before we hear results?  For additional information.  She has had a biopsy done many years ago that turned out to be nothing.

This can be scary.  Mammo's are done for a second time for many reasons.  The best thing is for her to call and just ask what and why.  Many results can take a few days or even a week.  Let's hope she doesn't need to wait long.  
I will say a prayer for her.  Just be there for and listen to her concerns.  Do something special for her to take her mind off things.
