Mammogram results - saddling mass

A friend of mine just had a mammogram and was told she has a saddling mass - what is this?  She was also told to set up a biopsy appointment for a month later.  One would guess by the nonurgency of the biopsy appt. that this is not a critical mass - am I correct?  Would it be a mass from fibrocystic disease?

Dear Charanya:  I cannot find the term "saddling mass" in any literature, so I am not sure what is meant by this term.  If they are recommending a biopsy, then she needs a biopsy.  There is no such thing as an urgent or nonurgent biopsy.  If it is needed then it is needed.  If the mass were felt to be nothing, a biopsy would not be needed.
