Mass I cant feel

Mass I cant feel

hi everyone, I hope you can help me. I am 41 years old and I had my first mammogram a few weeks ago. My dr insisted I get  one because I never had one before. While in her office she did examine my breast  and the only thing she said was  she could feel some tenderness in my left breast. And she asked me did it hurt and I told her no. Anway to make a long story short I went had had the mammogram and 2 days later received a call from my dr and told me they found what appeared to be a soild mass that was  9:oo position near the chest  in my left breast. (she said something like that} Anyway, I went back a couple days later and had more views taken and then a  sonogram. And in my case I didnt get to see the radioglist, tech told me i would hear something from my dr in a couple of days and i did. She called me to tell me that I  needed a biospy to make sure it wasnt cancer. Which of course scared me to death! Now my Mom had a biospy done a few years back ago and was told she had to have a biospy because of clairfifactions. And her biospy report came back that it was because of caffenine . She drinks  2 cups of coffee every day. In my case, I dont drink coffee but I do drink alot of mt dew! At least 2 cases a week!Anyway, i dont feel any lumps at all which is  good thing. My breasts dont hurt and never has. And my dr has made me an app with a surgical surgeon . Breast cancer doesnt run in my family and I wondering what I have.. I asked the  nurse at my dr. office did they think it was cancer and all she would say is  they dont know what it is.. Not sure why i have to be sent to a surgical  surgeon. my breast are fine ! And  I dont think I have fibroadenma because I know someone who has that and she said her breast hurt her all the time.. So my question, in your opinion, could it be a cyst or fibroadenma that didnt show up on a sonogram because maybe the mass was too small. tx and sorry so long..

I had a 10 cm mass which is huge and you couldn't feel it or see it or image it with a mammogram.

I know you're worrying but really, don't until you have a reason to worry, easier said than done, I know. Biopsy's like I had, a core needle biopsy done by a good radiologist or surgeon don't hurt.

It could be anything or nothing. Let's hope for nothing! B9 wishes for you :)

I had the same thing happen to me 2 months ago. After much stress the core biopsy came back fibroadenoma. I couldnt feel it nor did it hurt.

I did have surgery because I thought it would be so stressful living with something in
my body that didnt belong there if I didnt have to.My Dr. also thought that was
the best choice.

However you do need to get the biopsy to be sure& that is much more stressful than
painful.I hope yours will also be B9
Best wishes
Lisa
