Hi,

Yes, there are antibiotics which can be taken without a culture. However, the choice of antibiotic is up to the prescribing doctor to ascertain. It is not the right thing to quote some antibiotic here, which may not actually help you. I hope you understand.

Amoxicillin is one of the antibiotics NOT recommended for people who are sensitive to penicillin. Do not worry there are many choices available for pencillin allergy.

Hope the answer helped and you would understand why its not right to post any antibiotic names here.

Best regards.

I took standard amoxicillan for 10 days.  Usually, unless it is recurrent, a standard regimen of antibiotics should knock it out.  You need to follow your docs advice on what to do and make sure you check back with him/her if the issue doesn't get resolved after the treatment is complete.

Thank You. But,
As I know it is not easy `to do a culture` without biopsy or present secretion. But- there is no secretion. What is Your next advice? Is it possible to take some antibiotic without a culture, e.g. the most common cause and most common antibiotic in that case?
Thank You in advance.

Hi,

This is a subjective answer as most doctors would recommend a culture to find out the pathogen and its responsiveness to ascertain the antibiotic to be prescribed. Usually antibiotics along with adjunctive treatment like painkillers are prescribed for at least ten days depending on the severity.

Penicillin sensitivity is usually not a problem as there are antibiotics available which can be prescribed to such people.

Hope the answers helped. let us know if you have any other queries. You must visit your doctor to find any specific information regarding this.

Regards.
