May Be Fibrocystic Breast Condition?

Hello...   a couple weeks ago i noticed an area below and to the left of my armpit was tender. I had just shaved and dismissed it... Saturday, i noticed it again, and felt what i thought to be a lump. So i called the doc on Monday and yesterday i was seen.  She did a breast exam finding the lump i was talking about immediatley on top of what she said to be "several more pea size lumps on BOTH breasts" ... She told me she thinks it is Fibrocystic Breast Condition, but has referred me to have a Breast ultrasound done to be sure tehre is nothing else going on.. Does anyone have any helpful input on this, please?

At your stated age this seems quite likely but it's a good idea to do some further investigating to be sure. You were wise to see your Dr. about it and she is being vigilant by ordering further testing. If it is indeed Fibrocystic in nature there would be no reason for concern and they may even go away on their own. If in the future they become too bothersome they can be removed.   Regards ....

BTW, I am 29 year old, mother of 1, with no KNOWN history of breast cancer in the family.
