More urination after phyllodes lump removal surgery

My wife had a phyllodes lump removal surgery 3 days back and she is having more urination after that ..is this general behaviour after this surgery

Hi there.

During any major surgery, the anesthesiologist would usually hydrate the patient during the operation through intravenous fluids.  This is to ensure that the blood pressure remains stable, and this will also compensate part of the blood lost during the procedure.  Three days after the surgery, her body may still in this hydrated state and slowly, she would eliminate this excess body water through more frequent urination in the next few days.

Other causes would include central or nephrogenic diabetes insipidus which is an uncommon cause but should be entertained if this does not abate in the next two to three days.
