Need Help

Back in April, after experiencing severe breast pain for a few months, I finally went to the Dr.  I had a mammogram and then a second mammogram and a sonogram.  They found 2 abnormal masses in my left breast and 1 in my right.  I was referred to a surgeon for a lumpectomy to determine what the masses are.  Unfortunately, 4 days before the surgery, my insurance was cancelled and the surgeon wanted $1100 down before he would do it.  I am 35 yrs old, unemployed, taking 5-6 pain pills a day and my bf whom i live with is refusing to help me.  I applied for SSI and SS Disability but was turned down because I haven't been diagnosed with anything.  I live in Seguin, Tx.  My question is does anyone know of any person, agency or hospital that will help me to get this surgery done?

contact the American Cancer Society closest to you and see if they can help or direct you to any kind of social service that can.

Try contacting your local health department. Also, like the one post said American Cancer Society. Let us know what happens. Prayers are with you

I know of a Discount plan that may be of help.  It is marketed thru work at home reps, I know the dental is really good so maybe the medical would be too - and, Low Cost.  If you are interested, let me know and I'll put you in touch with a very nice lady.  I don't know what is allowed on this board and don't want to get in trouble by posting the web address.
