Needle loc biopsy- a year later

I had what ended up being (in laymans terms) a wart near my chest wall removed last year.It was the most pain I have ever had to endure.  Is that normal not to give you anything for pain? (needleloc biopsy)  They stuck a wire in my breast and it was awfull.  I do not want to have another mamo ever now.   I still have some pain where it was removed. I have a history of pelvic scar tissue from surgeries.  Could the pain I have now be scar tissue?

Dear Dixiepeep:  In general, for a stereotactic biopsy, a topical anesthetic is given.  If the biopsy is placement of a wire, followed by surgery, the surgery portion is done under anesthesia.  Post op, tylenol or other pain pills may be given.  If you are still having discomfort, it very well may be scar tissue.  You should proceed with your regular mammograms.  You might try another facility.  Sometimes another facility can provide a different experience.

Will scar tissue show up on mamogram (mammogram) as something that needs to be biopsied?
