New Nodule after Stereotactic Biposy

Has anyone ever had an experience with a nodule/lump ocurring at the incision site after a stertactic biopsy?  I had it done ten days ago and now there is a palpable lump the size of a pea right at the incision site.

Thank you

The same thing happened with me after my stereotactic procedure. I also believe that the lump that you're feeling is quite likely scar tissue formation. What I did was... after the puncture site was fully healed, I massaged the area with vitamin E oil nightly, for a few months. That seemed to help smooth out the nodule.

Hi,after my fine needle biopsy,I too ha a little lump. After my surgery I had the same thing happen at the site of the incision. This,I was told,is only scar tissue or some liquid that collects (seroma) where the biopsy was done.10 day after your biopsy is not a long time.I had my surgery last November and I can still feel a little lump where the tumor was and under the incision site. You will notice that as time goes by,the lump will get smaller, as the tissue heals and the seroma is absorbed by the body.Good luck and best wishes for your biopsy results. .
